About

I’m fascinated by how we make sense of our existence—how we continually retell our stories to ourselves in an effort to make sense of who we are and our place in this world. For me, art is a way of exploring that largely unconscious process. It serves as both a mirror reflecting our inner narratives and as a portal inviting a fuller experience of ourselves and revealing new perspectives.

I’m especially drawn to abstraction for its ability to evoke distinct sensations, emotions, and memories in each viewer. I work intuitively, allowing the interaction between instinct and material to guide what emerges. Often, there’s a moment where something in the piece brings forth a memory, feeling, or vision that shapes its final form.

I primarily use watercolor and ink on paper, though I’m increasingly exploring mixed media and sculpture. My photography, by contrast, is grounded in a love of travel and the natural world, another way of witnessing beauty and presence.
